About Me

I am engineer by profession , in my mid-30s, and absolutely love writing low-level software for microchips and microcontrollers. Apart from engineering, I also love nature photography.

My parents instilled a habit of saving money from very early in my childhood. Beyond that, I never really paid much interest to the subject of personal finance, investing and retirement. On the contrary, I would hear horror stories of how people would lose their life savings by investing money in the stock market. As a result, for a long time, I would qualify the act of investing in stocks as simply gambling away your hard-earned money.

Life happened and I am now a husband to a beautiful wife and a father to a loving son. I decided to shed all my pre-conceived notions and research the subject of investing, personal finance and financial independence. And boy did that change my perspective!

Since then, I have learned a lot and continue learning something new every day. This blog is a channel to record my financial journey. One aspect of my financial journey that I hope to cover here is my journey with a specific investing strategy that I am huge fan of : dividend growth investing.

I am certainly no expert in this field and hope to learn a lot. My only hope is to motivate any readers to begin their own journey towards financial independence.

Thank you very much for stopping by and reading thus far!
